Here are the details for CCA Showcase :)
Date:
Time: 1430-1630
Report at 1230 for the rest and leaders to report at 1245
Attire: Polo Tee with track pants
Logistics needed: 2 Aluminum tins, 1 aluminum tray, 2 matchboxes, 2 charcoal tongs, gadget poles, twine, T-shirts (PLTC, CTC, Inter-unit camp), marshmallow, 3 blindfold, charcoal, 2 pails.
Logistics needed for Kim’s games: Milo Powder, salt, sugar, coffee powder, yoghurt
Classes involved: 1E1-1T7
Speaker/ Tour guide: Feera, Ruby, Yi Xin (Give a speech on what our CCA is about and bring them around)
Ruby will be writing out the speech.
Events happening on that day:
- The first class will have to listen to our PowerPoint presentation and watch a video on guides.
- They will then move around the classroom, taking a look at our exhibition and participate at our games.
- After touring around the exhibition, they will move out of the classroom to take a look on Girl Guides learn to do outdoor cooking and try to roast their own marshmallows.
- They can eat their marshmallows and view our gadget, clothes liner with all the

- After touring for about 10 mins, they will have to listen to our PowerPoint presentation and watch a video on guides.
Outdoor Cooking:
- Having 2 groups of guides taking charge.
- Logistics needed: Marshmallow, Aluminum tins, 1 aluminum tray, 2 matchboxes, 2 charcoal tongs, and 2 pails
- ICs: Group 1: Xinyi, Ei Sin, Wen Xuan, Syafiqah and Jewel
Group 2: Xue Fang, Shu Xian, Bernice and Li Fuen
Gadgets:
- Have 2 gadgets to show the Sec 1s our camp craft skills.(Gateway & Clothes liner)
- Make the gadgets on the day before so that they would just have to mallet the gadgets to the ground and display it outside the classroom.
- T-shirts (PLTC, CTC, Inter-unit camp)- brought by Carrie and Si Ying
- Gadgets ICs: Rasyiqah, Nadia, Yuet Yuen and Si Ying
Kim’s Game:
- The Sec 1s must be blindfolded while playing this game.
- Feed them a little of each of the food or flavorings.
- They will have to guess what that is.
- ICs: Ying Ze, Nashirah, Zhe Ying, Evelyn and Wen Ying
Display of our art & crafts works, achievements:
Example: Batik Paintings
IC: Ain and Aini (Explain to them what and how we do our artwork, what is the purpose of doing it)
Souvenir (Everyone) and Gift Packs (Girls who signed up):
Suggestions: Notebook, pen or pencil (with Girl guides written on it)
ICs: Nashirah (Gift Packs), Jing Yi (Souvenir) and Wei Lin (Souvenir)
People helping (Souvenir): Li Fuen, Hadirah, Ashika, Efi, Evelyn, Asyiqin, Bernice
People helping (Gift Packs): Bernice, Xue Fang, Jing Min
Registration Booths:
Wei Lin, Hadirah, Ashika and Gee Nee
The rest will be walking around to see if any group needs help.
There will be punishment for being late unless valid reasons.
Farewell party will be on next Friday, during guides meeting. Please prepare everything ready by Thursday and bring it on Friday.
Each patrol must prepare 2 presents and 2 cards for Mrs pang and Ms Izyan.
Patrol leaders, please collect from all your patrol members $5 each. It is compulsory. Thanks.
